Local Leader of Education (LLE)

What can a Local Leader of Education (LLE) offer your school?

The role of a Local Leader of Education is to provide one-to-one support to a headteacher.

Activities of the LLE may include:

  • coaching and mentoring the headteacher to develop skills, judgement and professional effectiveness
  • providing bespoke support for school improvement
  • supporting or arranging coaching or training for staff in the supported school

Apply to become a Local Leader of Education

Would you like to be a Leader of Education in Coventry, Solihull and/or Warwickshire?

If you would like to work with leaders in other schools to improve pupil outcomes, consider applying to be a CSW Local Leader of Education.

In addition to your current role, you would undertake a school improvement role with a headteacher whose school is in challenging circumstances. The goal of the CSW Local Leaders of Education is to increase the leadership capacity of other schools to help raise standards. This is an important element of the government’s plan to give schools a central role in developing a self-improving and sustainable school-led system.
