Meet the Team

Helen Myers – Director of Teaching School Hub

Contact – TSH@tgacademy.org.uk

My name is Helen Myers, and I am delighted to introduce myself as the acting Director of Tudor Grange Teaching School Hub.  I am joining the evolution of the Teaching School Hub journey at a very exciting time.  We are rightly proud of the achievements we have made in delivering the full suite of NPQ qualifications to 243 wonderful participants, since our launch in September.  We are equally delighted to be delivering the ECT programme to 215 dedicated new teachers, and are very much looking forward to the new cohorts we will be enrolling for the next academic year.

As I have had the privilege to learn from our highly skilled facilitators, and our valued delivery providers (Education Development Trust for ECTs, and Teacher Development Trust for NPQs), I am very clear that our role here is to provide more than just a course.  We deliver more than just a curriculum, though we are very proud of the research-led, and educationally-significant curricula created by our chosen providers.  We know that we are creating networks of support, companionship, and professional integrity, which we believe will stand the test of time.  These are challenging time to be a teacher, and we firmly believe that our stewardship of the ECTs, and the nurturing of our aspiring leaders, is a deep privilege.  We are proud to serve our region, and welcome everyone in it to join in our network of heroes, partners, and friends.
